They're Off

And the rest of us are jealous, but more power to those who can get up and go. First stop was London, then on to Greece today, I think. Hopefully we'll be getting updates from Athens by next week. Back here in Washington, schools are almost out. (Is it a coincidence that Wilson High School's excellent principal, Dr. Tarason resigned just before Mayor Fenty took over the school system?) Planes are flying low and loud over my neighborhood by the Potomac River. I hear tell there's a 75 pound snapping turtle down near Fletcher's boat house and though perhaps contrary to popular opinion, that's what's really happening here in the Nation's Capitol.
